Ayako is always seen carrying a 2' long paper fan which she uses to beat down or rather cool down the out-of-control team members. Gradually, the team members become acquinted to this seemingly harmless but in fact deadly weapon Ayako possesses.

It's been recorded that other than the team captain, everyone else have all been victim to Ayako's powerful fan! (somewhat similiar to Tasuki's Tessien from Fushigi Yuugi)
